Definitions
Story: Two Bad Ants
- dew (n.): droplets of water that appear on
the grass in the morning
- blinding (adj.): very bright
- flash (n.): a quick burst of light
- new-found (adj.): recently found; new
- hover (v.): to hang in the air
- boiling (adj.): very hot
- violently (adv.): to do in a violent way
- bitter (adj.): strong, often unpleasant taste; opposite of
sweet
- tilt (v.): to lift something so one side is higher
- empty (v.): to remove everything so nothing is left
- pitch-black (adj.): very black; very dark
- steep (adj.): almost
straight up and down; rising sharply
- shovel (v.): to move things as if with a shovel, in large
amounts
- disk (n.): a flat, or almost flat round-shaped item
- lift (v.): to raise up
- unbearably (adv.): in a way that’s too much/
